For months now, I've debated what
I could tell you "About Us" that would be
compelling enough
to hold anyone's interest. Then like a bolt of lighting, as I'm
doing this re-build & update to the website, it hit me!
The reason
The-Thread-Artists
(and subsequently 4-Paws)
came to be!
The sweetheart you'll now see in the upper left
corner is our very own "Keely" a purebred Vizsla (pronounced Veesh-La),
sometimes also known as Hungarian Pointing Dogs. At the time Keely
came into our lives, Vizslas were perhaps better known in Europe than in
the U. S. So, finding any clothing or for that matter even a Vizsla embroidery
design would prove to be impossible to find. Needless to say, we were
very disappointed. Because like any new... or for that matter - ANY owner,
we wanted to wear something with our new "baby"
emblazoned on it! - - So, we began a quest, which quickly became a
passion - and ultimately determined a new future for ALL of us.
Keely has now hit her 10th
birthday! (and no, the photo in the upper corner has not
been touched up - she has very little "salt" in her coat & continues to be
the very healthy, humorous & energetic sweetheart that she's always been!)
Thankfully, she (as well as her "Canine Siblings") had all 4 paws present
and accounted for .... Thus, the inspiration for a business name:
"4-Paws"
Julie is a very talented (and humorous) woman of
many abilities. But it seems that she was genetically
pre-disposed to be in Sales (with her Dad & one Brother also in
the Sales arena)! So, it seemed a natural transition for her to take the
helm for our "Mobile Boutique" [as it's been dubbed by many of you] ... traveling to and attending shows &
events!
As for me (Deb), my DNA definitely defined a
wild mixture of a thirst for Technology (My Dad was a Mechanical Engineer - -
and I'm a former Software Development Engineer) blended with a heavy hand
of Creativity ... having learned to sew at the age of 4 .... then later supporting my
self doing clothing design in my "youth". - - So, for me, the natural
progression was creating our embroidery designs (via computer programming)
and hopefully providing you - our clients, with creative designs
representing that which you are passionate about!
So to our wonderful, dear & loyal customers, (many ultimately having
become good friends as well) we Thank you
for your support, encouragement and business! We know that you have
choices of where you spend your money and we appreciate your continued
confidence in us & doing business with us!
